Nate Larsen Biography
Nate Larsen is an American meteorologist working for KTVX as part of the ABC4 4Warn Weather Team since joining the station in June 2022. Previously, he worked for CBS 2 in Boise, Idaho, as a meteorologist for 5 years.

Larsen joined Weber State University in 2004 after finishing his high school education. In 2009, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional Sales. In 2013, he joined the University of Utah, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Sciences. While there, he had the chance to intern with Dan Pope, a meteorologist he admired growing up.

The Utah native has roots in Layton and grew up with a love for all four seasons, particularly the snowy winters. He was an ardent snowmobiler in Utah’s northern mountains as a child and often watched ABC4 weather forecasts with hopes of fresh snowfall.
In 2015, Larsen started working as a forecaster for southeast Idaho at KPVI News 6, the NBC station in Pocatello, Idaho. Later, he relocated to Boise, Idaho, where he served KBOI as a morning meteorologist. The Idaho State Broadcasters Association awarded the morning newscast with several “Best in State” awards while he was in Boise. Despite enjoying his time in Boise, he jumped at the opportunity to return to Utah
