Nicholas Ferreri Biography

Nicholas Ferreri is an American journalist who serves as WANE 15’s Chief Meteorologist and has been recognized by the Indiana Broadcasters Association. He was recognized for being one of the top meteorologists in the state.

Nicholas Ferreri Career

Ferreri is a Ball State University graduate. He began forecasting and providing weathercasts there, first on the college newsroom and subsequently on Muncie’s WIPB (PBS). Nicholas continued his meteorology studies on the Mississippi State University campus after getting his bachelor’s degree in telecommunications with majors in operational meteorology/climatology and Spanish.

Ferreri directed the broadcast meteorology program’s weather broadcasts and participated in educating students in giving on-air predictions while completing his Master’s degree in Geosciences-Broadcast Meteorology. He formerly worked as a meteorologist at WILX-WSYM TV in Lansing, Michigan, before joining WANE 15.

Nicholas is a member of the National Weather Association and the American Meteorological Society. He is a member of Kiwanis International, an organization with which he has been associated since high school, and he participates in community service projects.
