Nick McGurk is an American Emmy Award-Winning former anchor and reporter known for having worked at ABC 4, Utah as the weekend anchor and weekday reporter. He joined the ABC 4, Utah team in September 2016 and departed in September 2022. In his departure, he stated that he left his TV job to start a new business – documenting his life for posterity. ABC4 was his last news business. Before joining ABC4, he worked at KIRO-TV, the CBS affiliate in Seattle, Washington State.
McGurk has worked as a journalist all over the country from Washington State to Washington, D.C., and many other places. He attended Northwestern University where he studied at The Medill School of Journalism and graduated with a major in broadcast journalism and a minor in German. Over the years, he has worked at Deutsche Welle Radio in Bonn, Germany, Bloomberg News, and CNN.
In addition, he began his on-air career at WBOY-TV in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Later on, he worked in South Bend, Indiana at WNDU-TV and he also covered Northern Colorado for KUSA-TV in Denver, Colorado. Not long ago, he worked at KIRO-TV, the CBS affiliate in Seattle, Washington State where he served as a reporter.
