Aside from working as a journalist, Norwood is also involved in various organizations such as the National Association of Black Journalists, the American Meteorological Society, and the New Orleans Press Club. Previously, she worked as a treasurer and president, and at the moment she works for the local chapter of the New Orleans Association where she serves as vice president.
