Patrick Pete is an American Meteorologist working for WANF News as an evening meteorologist at 3:30, 7, and 10 p.m. Before joining WANF News, he served as an evening meteorologist at WMAR in Baltimore, Maryland.

Pete attended McNeese State University where he earned a degree in physics. He was also an active member of MSU Peerleader, Theta Chi Fraternity, and the Greek Unity Council. Later on, Patrick was transferred to Jackson State University after his scholarship was depleted. There he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences.
From there, Patrick joined North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in 2011 where he attained a Master of Science in Physics in 2014. While there, he served as an assistant teacher teaching meteorology and physics classes

Previously, Patrick wworked for WMAR in Baltimore, Maryland where he served as an evening meteorologist. While there, he covered significant weather events starting from tornadoes to floods to hurricanes. Pete served the station for three years and two months from December 2019 to January 2023.
Before joining WMAR-TV, Pete served as a meteorologist at Cox Enterprises in Memphis from November 2016 to December 2019. He started his journalism career at Weather Vision working as a meteorologist from September 2008 to June 2010. His passion for journalism emerged at the age of 8 when he witnessed Hurricane Opal destroy his hometown and force his family to move. Thereafter, he decided that he wanted to become a weatherman, a dream that is being fulfilled.
Aside from working as a journalist, Patrick is also an active member of community work. In Atlanta, Georgia, he has worked with different non-profit organizations and he is looking forward to sharing the community stories and exploring the area. Previously, Pete enjoyed watching crabs and football while he was in Marylanders and Louisianans.
