Pete Francis Biography

Pete Francis is an American former anchor/reporter who was well known for his time at KSNT where he served as a sports director. He joined KSNT in July 2018, and later in July 2021, he left the station, He has been working at Blues Rock Review as an Editor-in-Chief since he left KSNT. 

Menasha, Wisconsin is his native home and in 2007, Francis joined Northern Michigan University where he earned a bachelor of science in electronic journalism in 2011. Prior to joining KSNT, he worked in Reno, Nevada where he served as a weekend sports anchor.

While he was in Marquette, Michigan, he served as a sports director for almost three years, and while he was there, he won many Michigan Association of Broadcasters Awards inclusive of Best Feature/Use of Medium and Best Sportscast. Furthermore, while he was in Marquette, Michigan, he developed a televised sports show that covered Northern’s sporting teams.

In addition, he interned at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Over the years, he has earned many accolades from the Kansas Association of Broadcasters while he worked at KSNT inclusive of a 1st place award for sports feature and sportscast. His work has also been featured on ESPN’s SportsCenter and it was also picked up by national sources like Bleacher Report and Yahoo Sports while he was in Topeka.
