Reyna Crooms is an American Multimedia Journalist working for WECT News serving as a reporter, MMJ, and multimedia journalist. Before joining WECT News, she served as a UNC diversity fellow at WRAL in Raleigh, North Carolina.

After graduating from high school, Rayna attended East Carolina University in 2019 where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Fine Arts in May 2023. While at the University, Crooms was a member of a mentorship program called ECU Queen in You and a club dance team.

Before joining WECT News in June 2023, she worked for WRAL as a UNC diversity fellow from March 2023 to March 2023. While there, she produced daily newscasts and learned from WRAL staff and UNC faculty.
Prior to working at WRAL, Reyna served as a news intern at Wnct TV in Greenville, North Carolina. As an intern, she was able to advance her skills in videography, shooting packages, and editing videos. She stayed in the station for five months from August 2022 to December 2022. Initially, Crooms worked for WALTER Magazine in Raleigh where she served as an editorial intern. During her time at WALTER Magazine, she learned how to publish articles and upload stories online as well as practiced writing in AP Style.
Reyna began her career at WNCN in Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill where she worked as a news intern from June 2022 to August 2022. Before joining WNCN, she served as a reporter at The East Carolinian in Greenville, North Carolina. While there, Crooms wrote weekly stories mainly focusing on sports events that occur in East Carolina. She only served the station for one month from August 2021 to July 2022.
