Rob Peppers Biography

Rob Peppers is an American journalist and meteorologist currently working as the Traffic Assistant at WIBW-TV. He joined the station in June 1987.

He had always aspired to work as a weatherman. I’m fascinated by the weather. The formation and movement of clouds, the flash of lightning and thunder, and seeing large flakes of snowfall to the earth. It’s something he’s always gotten a kick out of.

He earned a meteorology degree from the University of Kansas in 1988 and began working for WIBW-TV soon after. In 1991, he was awarded the AMS Television Seal of Approval, and he has collaborated with some of the top meteorologists in the industry. He is the president of the Hatke Parkinson Support Group and a member of the NE Kansas Parkinson’s Association’s board of directors. He spoke to a number of church and social groups about the weather and his own experience with it.
