Rodger Wyland is an American Award-Winning journalist working for WNYT serving as a sports director. He joined the station in August 1986 as a weekend sports anchor/sports reporter.

Wyland is a Sports director who anchors the WNYT 6 and 11 p.m. He is also the play-by-play announcer for UAlbany Football and Basketball as well as hosts Big Board Radio Sports Talk weekdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on WTMM, 104.5 The Team, ESPN Radio. He had also worked for other stations prior to joining WNYT.
Previously, he worked for WTAJ in Altoona, Pennsylvania where he served as a Sports Director. While at WTAJ, he anchored sports on weekdays at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. He has also managed to win several awards including the Iris Award, presented for a half-hour special featuring triathlete John Gracey. He also won three New York State Broadcasters Awards for local sports coverage.
Wyland used to be a play-by-play announcer at PSU basketball games for WPSX-TV while he was still in college. Wyland attended Pennsylvania State University where he attained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Broadcasting in 1984.
