Ron Morton is an eminent American Meteorologist working as a storm tracker for News on 6. He has been a storm chaser for over twenty-five years.
Ron Morton Education
He received his education at Carl Albert State College where he learned Communication and Media Studies completed in 1990. From 1990 – 1992, he attended Bacone College where he learned Communication and Media Studies. He then attended Northeastern State University where he attained Mass Communication/Media Studies in 1994. From July 2013 to July 2015, he attended Southwest CUNA Management School where he learned Credit Union Financial Management and Executive Management School.

He is a meteorologist working for News on 6 as their storm tracker. He has always had a fascination for tornados and storms since his first tornado experience in May 1982. And experienced the second tornado that he experienced now hooked him hooked on storm chasing. For more than two decades, he has chased the weather in various counties like Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas. In addition to his work as a storm chaser, he has been working as a branch manager for TTCU Federal Credit Union in Muskogee since July 2008. When he is not working, he likes spending his leisure time teaching Sunday school at Timothy Baptist Church, golfing, or working as a public address announcer for the sporting events of Hilldale Public School.
Since November 2005, he has been a volunteer as Youth Leadership Chair for the Muskogee Chamber of Commerce. There, he is the director of the Muskogee Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Program. Also, he is a member Board of Directors for McCoys Youth Services since March 2017. There, he is a board member of the McCoys Youth Service. McCoys improves the lives and families and youths in Muskogee County through quality prevention and intervention services. Since October 2020, he has been a member Board of Trustees for Muskogee County Economic Authority. His role there is a public trust who provides bonds as capital that could be loaned to companies that plan to relocate or expand operations locally.
