Scott Thuman Biography
Scott Thuman is an American Emmy-award-winning Correspondent/Contributor working with WJLA-ABC7 News where he serves the station as a Chief Political Correspondent. Asides from this, he also serves the station as a weekly contributor to Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson. He has been working with the Sinclair Broadcast Group in Washington D.C. Metro Area since January 2016.

Thuman works with the Sinclair Broadcast Group/WJLA ABC7 News where he serves the station as a Chief Political Correspondent. In this role, he covers Capitol Hill, International, and the White House for the station.
Asides from reporting from Washington, he also consistently files stories on terrorism from overseas and works for combat zones. This is in addition to bringing in-depth pieces from Ukraine, Iraq, Lebanon, Turkey, Russia, and anywhere the news needs to be told.
Through his objective political coverage, he has earned his team the prestigious Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Television Political Journalism and multiple Emmys. He is a proud graduate of Florida Southern College where he obtained a Degree in Communications and a minor in Spanish.
Thuman is also a proud graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Citizens Academy. Away from work, he is an avid traveler, photographer, and adventurer, and recently documented the 7-day trek to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
