Jessica Burch is an American Meteorologist working with KPIX-TV/CBS News in San Francisco Bay Area where she serves the station as a Weekday Morning Meteorologist. She has been working with the station since May 2022.

Burch works with CBS News where she serves the station as a Weekday Morning Meteorologist. Prior to KPIX 5 News, the Las Vegas native was working with KRCR ABC 7 where she was serving the station as a Weekday Evening Meteorologist. She served the KRCR team in Redding, California between May 2019 and May 2022.
She states that the weather in Las Vegas was hot and dry year-round. Her love for the weather and climate science began earlier on when she began working on his private pilot’s license at the age of 15. She went on to study meteorology at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. There, she also did ROTC and was commissioned as an Army officer in the year 2019. Her two passions include (aviation and weather) which go hand-in-hand quite nicely.
Working as a military pilot, she knew that her life was dependent on an accurate forecast. She also works as a 1LT in the California Army National Guard, flying Blackhawk helicopters in a MEDEVAC Unit based out of Sacramento. Asides from that, she states that she loves serving the country and taking part in the state mission.
He kick-started his on-air career working at KRCR where she was the weekday evening meteorologist. He states that he has covered everything from fire seasons to severe weather with plenty of sunny days in between. Away from work, she enjoys volunteering with the JFCS, taking a stroll with his black lab, Chopper, and flying small Cessnas over the bay.
