Before joining WAFF-TV in August 2022, Sean worked for Zazoom Media Group where he served as a MMJ. During his time there, he hosted various lifestyle segments which appeared on the front page of USA Today, MSN, and AOL. He served the station for six years from September 2014 to August 2020.
Dowling began his broadcasting career at WGN-TV working as a morning news anchor and writer. As an anchor, he was in charge of creating web stories, editing videos, and hosting special shows. In September 2010, Sean secured a position as an Eye-opener TV and production assistant working in that position for eight months. Later on, he was promoted to on-airs co-anchor and writer at WGN-TV in Dallas from May 2011 to 2013. While in Dallas, he hosted a nationally syndicated morning show and helped in creating lifestyle segments.
Prior to working at WGN-TV, Dowling served as a promoter at KISS FM in Chicago, Illinois. During his tenure at KISS FM, he organized celebrity clientele at live events and managed all contest information. Apart from working as a journalist, Sean also served as a licensed realtor at Keller Williams Realty in Franklin, Tennessee from November 2020 to September 2021. Previously, Sean worked for Lake Homes Realty as a licensed realtor from September 2021 to August 2022.
