Sydney Darden is an American  Multi-media journalist working with LEX 18 News where she serves the station as a Multimedia Journalist. She joined the LEX18 News team in April 2022.

Darden works with LEX18 News where she has served the station as a Multimedia journalist since April 2022. Despite growing up in Atlanta, she was born in Lexington and is happy to be back to her roots. Before LEX18, she had spent time reporting and anchoring in Tupelo, Mississippi, where she worked with WTVA News.

While she was in Tupelo, she reported everything from severe weather, politics, social justice, and crime. Asides from that, she broke several stories during the pandemic, providing crucial information about the vaccine rollout and raising cases. Prior to moving to Tupelo, she briefly reported in Monroe, Louisiana.

Darden is a proud graduate of Georgia State University. She has served as an intern for WSB-TV and worked as a production assistant for Atlanta’s top radio stations while she was in college. Away from work she enjoys watching TV, trying new restaurants, and exercising. She states that she is always happy to meet the wonderful people of Lexington and hear their stories.
