Sydney Shadrix is an American journalist who serves on the KLTV team since October 2019 as an anchor and multimedia journalist. She earned her Master of Arts in Mass Communication from The University of Georgia and her Bachelor of Music in Education from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Sydney Shadrix Career
Sydney interned at WAGA-TV in Atlanta, Georgia, and reported for Grady Newsource, the University of Georgia’s web and television news service for Northeast Georgia. She also served as a graduate teaching assistant in Munich, Germany, for the University of Georgia’s travel journalism study abroad program.
Sydney taught middle and high school in Nashville, Tennessee, before pursuing a career in journalism. She is passionate about public education and is looking forward to learning more about Tyler’s schools and community. Sydney is looking forward to sharing the story of the people and places that make Tyler so special.
