Talha Rao is a Pakistan-American Anchor/Reporter/Trainer working for WKTV NewsChannel 2 where he serves the station as a Weekend Sports Anchor. He also serves the station as a weekday MMJ and Sports Express team on Friday Nights. Asides from this, he is also a certified personal trainer.

Talha Rao is the Weekend Sports Anchor at NEWSChannel 2. He is also a weekday MMJ, in addition to Sports Express on Friday nights. Born in Karachi, Pakistan, Talha moved to America when he was 10 years old. His family now resides in Rochester. Talha comes graduated from Syracuse University with a master’s degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism in 2021.
Rao works with WKTV NewsChannel 2 where he serves the station as a Weekend Sports Anchor since October 2021. Prior to WKTV, he was working with New England Patriots where he was the NFL reporter in Foxborough (Foxboro), Massachusetts. He undertook this role between July 2021 and August 2021.
Prior to this, he was also working with Sports Illustrated where he was a Sports Reporter Intern in Syracuse, New York. He undertook this role between September 2020 and July 2021. There, he covered the New England Patriot’s training camp. Talha is a proud graduate of Syracuse University where he obtained a Master’s Degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism in the year 2021.
During his time at Syracuse, he was privileged to cover Syracuse men’s and women’s basketball for Sports Illustrated. This also includes a trip to Indiana to cover March Madness (2020) and North Carolina to cover the women’s ACC Tournament(2020). He also attended the State University of New York College at Cortland where he was studying Sports CommunicationSport Management and Sports Communication. There, he studied between 2015 and 2019.
