Tamara Berg Biography

Tamara Berg is an American meteorologist currently working at the KCRA 3 weather team since December of 2011. She previously worked at KION-TV in Salinas.

Tamara holds a B.A. Baldwin-Wallace College and a B.S. in the Broadcast Journalism Mississippi State University of Meteorology. Tamara is also a member of the National Weather Association and the American Meteorological Society.

Tamara Berg Career

As a weekend weathercaster and weekday general assignment reporter, Tamara began her career in Toledo, Ohio. Tamara covered heavy snowfall occurrences, and chased summer thunderstorms, and river floods while in Toledo. Tamara tracked just about every type of weather condition while at KION. In March 2011, she also reported on mudslides, wildfires, earthquakes, and the tsunami that swept through Santa Cruz’s coastline.

Tamara loves running in her spare time. She has completed the Big Sur International Marathon twice and every December she looks forward to running the California International Marathon. Tamara also loves hiking, mountain running, snowboarding, and biking. Finally, she would also like to get her pilot’s certificate.

Finally, she would also like to get her pilot’s certificate. Tamara is also volunteering with the American Heart Association, SPCA, and enjoys visiting local schools to teach the weather children.  She looks forward to enjoying all that Northern California has to offer, particularly the hot summers in the Tahoe snow, along with the rivers and lakes and cold winters.
