Tim Blotz American Emmy award-winning News anchor and reporter working for FOX 9/KMSP in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He joined the station in January 2004 and serves as a reporter and anchor.
Tim Blotz Education
After graduating from high school and earning his High School Diploma, he had to further his education. He joined the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Communications. Boltz also attended the University of St. Thomas – Opus College of Business and after completing his studies there, he graduated with his Mini Master in Business Communication.
He also joined the University of Minnesota in 2011. After finishing his studies there, he received a master’s degree in strategic communication. He has used his degree to help some of the non-profits he volunteers with to arrive at better stakeholder insights and brand messaging.

Blotz is an Emmy award-winning reporter and anchor at FOX 9/KMSP in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He anchors and reports for the early primetime newscasts from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on FOX 9 and FOX 9+. During his 15 years with FOX 9, he began the first transportation reporting beat in the Twin Cities. Currently reported from the State Capitol heading up FOX 9’s political coverage.
Apart from his journalism work, he has done extensive work with the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance where he has reported on its ground-breaking “Unmasking Brain Injuries” project. Hundreds of people have painted and decorated masks that tell the stories of their own brain injuries that people normally would not see throughout the state. In addition to that, he hosts both the Strides for Stroke Walk and the organization’s Walk for Thought each year.
