Tisha Powell is an American anchor and reporter working at WAFB as a national correspondent and a co-host for InvestigateTV+, a weekday news magazine show, since March 2023. She joined the station in August 2021 as an anchor and reporter. She previously worked at ABC 11, where she served as an anchor from August 2004 to July 2021.

Prior to her tenure at ABC11, Powell worked for News 9 San Antonio, where she served as a news anchor and reporter from 2002 to 2004. Before that, she spent about 2 years and 1 month working at KABB Fox 29 TV, where she served as a reporter. There, she broadcast the escape of the Texas Seven and the Spurs’ 2003 NBA Championship.
From 1997 to 2000, Powell worked for WDSU, where she served as a reporter. There, she traveled to Honduras to broadcast the devastation caused by Hurricane Mitch. Prior to that, she worked for WCBI-TV for about 1 year and served as a reporter. In Laurinburg, North Carolina, Tisha jumped with the Army Golden Knights Parachute Team.
Powell is also an active volunteer of the USO of North Carolina, the American Heart Association, and the Girl Scouts. Also, she is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., as well as the Triangle Park Chapter of The Links, Inc., and the National Association of Black Journalists.
