Steve Daniels is an American Emmy Award-winning News Anchor working for ABC11 where he serves as the co-anchor of ABC11 Eyewitness News at 5:00 pm, 6:00 pm, and 11:00 pm. He has been working for the station since joining in June 1999.

Steve Daniels Career

Daniels serves as the co-anchor of ABC11 Eyewitness News at 5:00 pm, 6:00 pm, and 11:00 pm Monday-Friday. In addition to these roles, he also serves as the anchor of the ABC11 Eyewitness News at 10 pm on weeknights on CW22. Furthermore, he also serves as the anchor of the Breaking News encasement from the Breaking News Center and also serves as a reporter.

One of his most memorable coverages is the effect of banning school bus drivers from using cell phones while behind the wheel in December 2007. Legislatures did not take the state law positively and hence complained about the state law. The legislators complained about his investigative report “Dialing While Driving” and exposed school bus drivers using cell phones while driving busloads of children.

Daniels previously worked at NBC where he served as a correspondent for “Dateline NBC”. He went to different parts of the country and interviewed newsmakers as well as reported several stories for the national news magazine program. He also made several appearances on “NBC Nightly News”, “Today” show,” CNBC, and MSNBC.

Before that, he worked at WTVJ in Miami where he served as the Senior Investigative Reporter and the weekday 5 and 5:30 pm anchor. During his time at WTVJ in Miami, he was awarded quite a number of national awards and seven Emmys for outstanding investigative reporting. Prior to that, he previously worked at KCNC in Denver where he served as the anchor of the weekend news. He went to the University of Missouri School of Journalism where he graduated.
