Toni Valliere is happy to be back home in California doing what she likes — sharing the stories of people. Toni grew up in the Southern California town of Huntington Beach and graduated from Cal State Fullerton. She comes to Sacramento from WISN-TV, the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Hearst Television station, where she anchored and reported on weekend evening shows throughout the week. Prior to Milwaukee, Toni spent more than eight years living in Joplin, Missouri.

She started as the weather anchor for the weekend, and a few years later, she became the anchor for the evening and the host of an afternoon lifestyle show. During the Joplin tornado in May 2011, which plowed through the heart of the city, killing 161 people and damaging more than 8,000 estates, Toni was a field anchor. In the wake of the EF-5 tornado, she interviewed several newsmakers and celebrities. She also covered George W. Bush’s 2008 and Barack Obama’s 2011 presidential visits.
