Travis Herzog is an American 6X Emmy Award-winning journalist working for KTRK ABC13 Houston as the chief meteorologist. He joined ABC13 in July 2006 and has worked there for over 15 years. Previously, he worked as the morning meteorologist at KBTX-TV just up the road in Bryan, Texas.

Herzog joined Texas A & M University after finishing his high school education. In 2004, he graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPR and a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. He found his deep passion and insightful awe for the atmosphere by reading any weather book he could find, leading his classmates to label him “the weatherman.”
Herzog serves as a member of the National Weather Association, the American Meteorological Society, Phi Beta Kappa, and Phi Kappa Phi. Previously, he worked as the morning meteorologist at KBTX-TV just up the road in Bryan, Texas. While in Bryan, he received two Texas Associated Press Top Broadcast Meteorologists in the State Award.
