Prior to working on his new show, he worked as a news anchor and radio host at KTVI FOX 2 where he anchored the news from 5 pm – 9 pm. He joined FOX 2 in April 2015 but was fired in September 2022. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that Vic was fired from his job as an anchor at FOX 2. The announcement of his termination came after the St. Louis Post-Dispacth obtained a leaked video of Vic Faust berating co-host Crystal Cooper with a stream of profanities and cruel personal insults during a show Faust hosted on hard rock station KFNS.

Crystal alleges that while she co-hosted Faust’s radio show on KFNS (100.7 FM), Faust defamed her, assaulted her, and restrained her from leaving the broadcast booth. Faust used profanity at least 40 times calling Copper “fat, stupid, and nasty”. At one point he even said, “Your kids have a terrible mom. I feel sorry for them”. After the incident, the station fired Vic Faust. Later, Faust apologized for the outburst through social media. On several of his podcasts, he alleges that Cooper had orchestrated the confrontation that cost him his job.
