Zaneta Lowe is an American Anchor/Reporter working with WREG3 News where she serves the station as a Daybreak and Noon Anchor for WREG. She also continues to work as an Investigative Reporter for the station. Lowe joined WREG3 News in the year 2011 as a Chief Consumer Investigator.

Lowe joins WREG3 News with 20 years of experience in the business. April of 2019 saw her becoming the Daybreak and Noon Anchor for WREG while she continues to work as an investigative reporter. Lowe joined the station as the station’s Chief Consumer Investigator.
With a lot of consistency, her work focuses on shining a light on problems, holding the powerful accountable, and protecting families. Her investigation into the unexplained deaths of children in the state’s care helped lead to an overhaul of the system and its public records policy. Additionally, he also exposed dangerous daycares and nursing homes, unscrupulous taxpayers, unlicensed car dealers, and substandard living conditions in taxpayer-funded housing.
Being a member of the WREG special projects team, she has done in-depth reporting on poverty and education and has also worked on several special reports/documentaries exploring critical issues across the Mid-South. On of the station’s special reports on race relations, criminal justice, and economic barriers, Memphis on a Mission, won a Mid-South Emmy in the year 2016.
Additionally, their work on MLK 50 reveals the struggles and divide Memphis continues to face since Dr. King’s death, earning the team another Emmy nomination in the year 2018. In her career, she has also been the recipient of Associated Press Awards and multiple Emmy nominations.
Prior to working at WREG, she was working as an anchor/reporter at WTVM located in Columbus, GA where she was launching the station’s consumer unit. Additionally, she has also worked at WVTM located in Birmingham, AL; WJRD(now WVUA) located in Tuscaloosa, AL among other media outlets in Alabama. She has also covered stories from the convictions of 16th Street Baptist Church bombers Bobby Frank Cherry and Thomas Blanton to the deadly Alabama tornado outbreak of the year 2011.
Lowe is a proud graduate of the University of Alabama where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications. Away from work, she enjoys taking her kids to baseball, basketball, and football games or school activities. Additionally, she is also a Team Read volunteer/tutor at Winchester Elementary.
