Amanda Taylor is an American Emmy award-winning anchor/reporter working for News 9/KWTV-DT as a weekday co-anchor of the 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m. newscasts. She joined the station in 2006 and has served the station for over 15 years. Previously, she worked for KENS in San Antonio, Texas.

Taylor’s role as a consumer reporter led her to defend Oklahomans who were mistreated. She even helped send a con man to prison because of her investigative report. Since joining the News 9 team, she has received several awards for her work, including Associated Press honors, 6 Emmys, Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters awards, an Edward R. Murrow Award, and Society of Professional Journalists awards.
Taylor is passionate about the welfare of children and takes the most pride in her work with News 9 and the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma’s Food for Kids program. She won an Emmy nomination for the gripping story of her father’s struggle with hunger. Through that and her other community outreach endeavors, she has helped raise over two million dollars to feed hungry children.
Prior to her joining the News 9 team in 2006, Taylor worked at KENS in San Antonio, Texas. She also worked in San Antonio, where she served both as an anchor and reporter at KAUZ in Wichita Falls, Texas, and WUFT in Gainesville, Florida.
