Lowry is Emmy award-winning American journalist working for News 9/KWTV-DT where she serves as an anchor. She anchors the network’s This Morning during weekdays which airs from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. and at 9 a.m. Lowry has served as the network’s anchor for more than a decade. Prior to joining the network, she tenured at KTXS-TV as the network’s 6 p.m. anchor in Abilene, Texas. She also tenured at KGBT-TV as the network’s morning anchor in Harlingen, Texas.
Later in 2010, she began her tenure at News On 6 in Tulsa, Oklahoma serving as a weekend anchor and also joined the Griffin Communications family. There she served for three years prior to moving down the turnpike to News 9. During her tenure as an anchor, she has reported on various events including murder confessions, human interest, high-profile crimes, tornadoes, hurricanes, and wildfires. Aside from live coverage on television, she also serves on several community panels and also works with non-profits. During her free time, she enjoys spending with her two rescue dogs, fishing, and hunting in Oklahoma outdoors.
