Aaron Ayers Biography
Aaron Ayers is an American meteorologist working at WHNT where he serves as a weekday meteorologist. Prior to joining WHNT, he worked at KSAN-TV where he served as a chief meteorologist and weeknight meteorologist at 5, 6, and 10 pm.
Aaron Ayers Education
Ayers attended Buckhorn High School where he graduated proudly. Later in 2015, he joined the University of South Alabama where she graduated in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in meteorology.

Ayers works at WHNT where he serves as a weekday meteorologist. North Alabama is his native home and he is happy to be working at News 19. Prior to joining the WHNT team, he worked at KSAN in San Angelo, Texas where he served as a chief meteorologist. While working at WHNT, he covered everything from tornadoes to winter weather to severe weather. Furthermore, he began his career as the Weekend Meteorologist for KSAN in San Angelo, Texas.
Aaron worked as a Weekend Meteorologist for the KSAN Storm Team for a year, covering tornadoes, snowstorms, severe storms, and large hail. He has also co-hosted KSAN’s digital weather show, CV Weather Front, and assisted in curating and creating original content for it. Aaron believes that his job necessitates a strong sense of community and a desire to educate and protect those who live there.
In addition, ever since he was a child, he was always interested in the weather. While growing up, he watched The Weather Channel and his local Huntsville meteorologists on WHNT. He became passionate about alerting family and friends about storms on social media after the deadly tornado outbreak of April 27th, 2011.
He was twice elected president of the Meteorology Club, took part in educational outreach, and received the Central Alabama National Weather Association Chapter Scholarship while in college. During his leisure time, he enjoys walking the KOA trails, eating at local restaurants, exploring the community, or getting lunch or dinner at his favorite Chick-fil-A if he’s out and about.
