Taylor is an Emmy award-winning American journalist working for News 9/KWTV-DT where she co-anchors the 5 pm, 6 pm, and 10 pm weekday newscasts. Additionally, she has also reported on essential issues to Oklahomans. She also anchored the network’s news coverage of the 2013 devastating tornado in Moore, the 2016 live coverage of the earthquake crushing, and traveled across state lines to get the whole story.
Having served as the network’s consumer reporter, Taylor has traveled to bat for Oklahomans who were wronged. Due to her excellent investigative report, a con man was sent to prison. She has several awards that have been accorded to her since joining the network News 9 team including an Edward R. Murrow Award, Associated Press honors, Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters awards, Society of Professional Journalist awards, and 6 Emmys.
Taylor also has a great passion for children’s welfare and is a proud member of the News 9 team and Oklahoma’s Kids Food program for the Regional Food Bank. She also received an Emmy nomination for her father’s struggle with hunger emotional story. Additionally, she has also played a pivotal role in raising more than two million dollars through her other community outreach efforts to feed hungry children.
Taylor went to Florida University where she later graduated with a degree. Prior to her joining the News 9 team in 2006, she tenured at KENS in San Antonio, Texas. Previously she worked in San Antonio, where she served both as an anchor and reporter at KAUZ in Wichita Falls, Texas, and WUFT in Gainesville, Florida. Aside from work, Taylor enjoys spending time with her husband, two lovely kids, and their Sheepadoodle, Ralphie. She also enjoys photography and crafts.
