Amber Schatz Biography
Amber Schatz is an American Host/Anchor/Producer/Reporter working with KX News(Nexstar Media Group) where she serves the station as a co-host for Studio 701. There, she hosts the show alongside Michael Cartwright, Jeff White, and Nathalie Gomez. She has been working with the station since July 2020.

She is a proud native of North Dakota in New England. She states that from the southwest part of the state, she moved to the far northeast part of the state where she attended and graduated college from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. There, she was majoring in Mass Communication and she got a TV bug during her internship with UND’s Studio One and had been all about news ever since.

Schatz works with KX News where she serves the station as a co-host. Her first job was working in the majestic Black Hills for nearly three years as a reporter/fill-in weekend anchor at KOTA-TV located in Rapid City, SD. Later on, she went on to be hired as a weekend anchor/weekday reporter at KXMB-TV located in Bismarck, North Dakota.
While working at KX News, she would go on to anchor/produce/report for both evening shows and morning shows, Good Day Dakota. She has also been recognized by the Associated Press and Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association for writing and reporting.
Her nearly nine-year run at KX News ended with the birth of her first beautiful baby as she opted to stay home with her and freelance write and edit. She later delved into nonprofit work and became the executive director of the Bismarck Library Foundation Inc. For her, Studio 701 is her next baby, and is so excited to be the host and producer of this brand-new lifestyle show. The show was designed to entertain viewers of the great state that she loves so much.
