He was also awarded an ABBY Award for his series on missing mother Brittney Wood.
Perez also enclosed the April 27 tornados in Tuscaloosa, the Midland City hostage situation, and the stranded Carnival Triumph’s return to Mobile. Prior to her tenure at WALA-TV, she previously worked for WABC-TV in New York, where he served as a behind-the-scenes in Miami. Whenever he is not working, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends.
