Andy Morgan Biography

Andy Morgan is an American Emmy Award-Winning Anchor working with KTSM 9 News in El Paso, Texas where he serves the station as an Evening Anchor. There, he was covering NCAA Division I athletics, and high school sports. He has been working with the station since March 2015.

Morgan works with KTSM 9 News where he serves the station as an Evening Anchor. He is a proud native of Denver, Colorado, and an outdoor enthusiast. Asides from hiking, skiing, golfing, and biking, he is a sucker for a weekend getaway in the mountains. He was raised an avid Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche fan, and Colorado Rockies. Morgan states that he would routinely broadcast the morning announcements in elementary school wearing a John Elway jersey.

He is a proud graduate of Colorado State University where she was studying communication. Her first out of college was as a play-by-play announcer in Eastern Colorado. He states that after a year of calling games for the Wray Eagles, he moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. There, he went on to become a sports multimedia journalist at the NBC affiliate — KOB-TV.

Morgan joined the KTSM 9 News covering MLB Spring Training, Aaron Jones’ four-touchdown performance against the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium, various college football bowl games,  and multiple NCAA Tournaments. Asides from this, he also spent years in sports at KTSM, four years as the sports Director, which was prior to shifting over a chair into the evening anchor role in the month of April 2022.

Away from work, he enjoys going to UTEP same at Sun Bowl Stadium and the Don Haskins Center, and New Mexico State games at Aggie Memorial Stadium and the Pan American Center. Asides from this, he loves going to El Paso Chihuahuas and El Paso Locomotive FC games at Southwest University Park.
