Angela An Biography

Angela An is an American seven-time Emmy Award-winning Anchor working with 10TV News serving the station as a weekday morning anchor for the 4:25 AM, 5 AM, and 6 AM News. She has been working with the 10TV team since August 2000. 

Angela An Education

An attended George Washington University in 2015 where she graduated with a master’s degree in received a master’s degree in Strategic Public Relations in 2017. She also studied at the University of Southern California where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism.

Angela An Career

An works with 10TV News where she serves the station as a Morning Anchor. Aside from anchoring the morning news, she also leads 10TV’s CrimeTracker 10 franchise, Gratitude Project, and the station’s Nextdoor partnership sharing positive stories of people doing good.

In recent years, she has also been honored by numerous organizations. She was privileged to be named a “10 of 10 Women Leaders” by Dress for Success Columbus and also to be honored by MADD of Central Ohio with the Driven to Save Lives Award. The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium invited Angela to an exclusive behind-the-scenes with Jungle Jack Hanna during his final appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman in New York City.

She also c0-presented a one-hour program on crime prevention with a special demonstration of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design. Asides from that, she says one of her most impactful assignments was covering the deadly Southeast Asia tsunami in the year 2004 which showed how humanity can rise above tragedy.

Angela has, additionally, received high recognition from numerous organizations, which include the Ohio Society of Professional Journalists, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol. This is in addition to receiving the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Associated Press.

Among her greatest passions for her is community service. In relation to this, she served on the board of directors for JDRF Central Ohio, Columbus Fashion Week where she was the board president in 2013, Canine Companies for Independence, and Komen Columbus. Asides from this, she also lends her support to Crime Stoppers of Central Ohio and the Heinzerling Foundation.

Prior to joining 10TV, she was working with KSL-TV located in Salt Lake City where she was one of the first journalists in the market to certify as a wildland firefighter. She also co-founded a news magazine program, China Near and Far, based out of New York City.

She kick-started her journalism career working with KCAL-TV located in Los Angeles. Away from work, she loves Tae Kwon Do and has a black belt in the game. Asides from that, she enjoys playing classical piano and playing golf. She is proud to call Central Ohio her home.
