Angie Beavin is an American anchor and reporter working at LEX 18 where she serves as the 4 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 7 p.m anchor. She joined the LEX 18 news team in August 2015, after previously working at KXAN in Austin, Texas.
Lexington is her native home and before she joined the KXAN in Austin, Texas team, she worked at WKYT. She started her television career at WYMT in eastern Kentucky. Angie attended the University of Kentucky where she earned a major in broadcast journalism and minor in political science. In addition, she also attended Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary School in Lexington and Lexington Catholic High School.
While she resided in Texas she got married and later on, she relocated to Lexington. Furthermore, she is a member of the board od directors at I Care KY and the Children’s Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass. During her downtime, she enjoys resting, spending time outside, trying new restaurants, and sports, and spending ample time with her family.
