Kristen Edwards Biography

Kristen Edwards is an American two-time Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter working at LEX 18 where she serves as a weekend anchor/ reporter a position she took up in February 2021. She joined LEX 18 in November 2019 as a multimedia journalist. 

In 2012, she joined Florida State University worked she graduated in 2016, with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, Media/ Communication Studies, and Leadership Studies. Later on, she joined Syracuse University where she earned a Master’s Degree, in Broadcast & Digital Journalism in 2017.

Prior to joining LEX 18, she worked at KRNV in Reno, Nevada where she covered a variety of stories and not long ago, she won a Regional Emmy for covering the Camp Fire in Northern California. Atlanta, Georgia is Kristen’s native home, and during her Sophomore year at Florida State University, she cheered on the Seminoles as they won a National Championship.
