Tom Ackerman is an American meteorologist working at LEX 18 where he serves as a morning meteorologist from 4:30 am -7 am and as a noon meteorologist. He joined the LEX 18 team in August 2002, after previously working at WOLO TV.

Ackerman works at LEX 18 where he serves as the morning and noon meteorologist. He has been Certified as a Broadcast Meteorologist by the American Meteorological Society. Dover, Ohio is his native home, and his first move was to join the United States Navy for four-year. While he was in the Navy, he was in charge of launching aircraft off the flight deck of the U.S.S. Eisenhower, which is a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier.

In addition, he was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia and during that time, he traveled to the Middle East and most parts of the Mediterranean, and Europe. He has also worked at stations in South Carolina and Wisconsin, North Carolina. During his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Kera, their daughters Claire and Anna, and their dogs Gidget & Evie, who were adopted from the Lexington Humane Society.
