April Dupre is an American journalist working as a Traffic Reporter at WWLTV in New Orleans, Louisiana for the Eyewitness Morning News. She has been part of the station since she was officially hired at the station in October 2017.
April Dupre Education
She attended St. Mary’s Dominican High School and went on to the University of New Orleans after graduation. April started at the university in 2003, studied for five years, and received her Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Psychology in 2008. She also attended NOCCA Institute, where she received training in musical theatre and dance.

April previously worked as a Certified Fitness Instructor for 6 years and 11 months prior to joining her current station. April is also the founder of Footprints To Fitness. Footprints to Fitness is a wellness and health company that was founded in September 2014 with the sole goal of assisting people in living a fun and balanced life. April enjoys traveling, working out, and spending time with her friends and family in her spare time.
April joined the New Orleans Saints, a dance crew, shortly after graduating from university and worked as a dancer. After three years of dancing, she left to work as a Physical Education and Health Teacher in secondary school.
