April Dupre Biography
April Dupre is an American traffic anchor and hosts working at WWL where she serves as the Traffic Reporter for the Eyewitness Morning News and as a segment host. She joined the WWL team in October 2017. Asides from this, she also serves as a Host at LOVENOLAtv a role she has held since March 2021.

Dupre attended ST. Mary’s Dominican High School where she proudly graduated. Later in 2003, she joined the University of New Orleans where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and a minor in Psychology in 2008.

Dupre works at WWL where she serves as a morning traffic anchor on the Eyewitness Morning News. Gentilly is her native home and she is passionate about wellness, health, helping others, and her city. Dupre also loves community outreach, animals, travel, dance, and music. Apart from being a traffic anchor, she is also a CPR instructor, certified fitness instructor, Exercise Physiologist, and personal trainer.
For a period of 10 years, she served as a Health teacher and a Physical Education, and during that time, she developed a passion for public speaking. In addition, she is a member of the New Orleans Saintsations and over the years, she has received a number of awards.
She was honored by the City of New Orleans with a proclamation and she was recognized as one of Gambit Weekly’s 40 Under 40 recipients. Furthermore, Dupre idolized Karen Swensen and Sally-Ann Roberts who are both WWL-TV legends while she was growing up.
