Ashley formerly worked at WBTV as a weekend sports anchor for five years. She also covered Truck Series races, Xfinity, the Cup at Bristol Motor Speedway, and the NFL Network at Conference USA games as a sideline reporter. The anchor also works as an in-game host for the Charlotte Checkers and Charlotte Knights, respectively.
She was a four-sport star in high school, earning All-District honors in cross country, track, softball, volleyball, and basketball. Prior to graduating as her school’s valedictorian, she was named the Virginia High School Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2016. She went on to Radford University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics.
Ashley moved to North Carolina after that, where she taught secondary mathematics and coached basketball and track. She has also garnered a number of industry awards throughout her career as an anchor and storyteller. She is also a three-time winner of the renowned Gracie Award, which honors outstanding programming created by, for, and about women in all forms of media and entertainment.
