Austin Evans is an American Meteorologist working for KSLA News 12 serving as a meteorologist. He joined KSLA News in July 2022, after previously working as a meteorologist at WEEK-TV in Peoria, Illinois.

Evan attended his high school at Taylor County School where he became interested in music and joined a school club. While there, he played marching baritone and trombone and participated with his band in the KMEA State Finals competition, finishing in third place. After high school, Austin enrolled at Western Kentucky University where he graduated with a minor in broadcast communications and a Bachelor of Science in meteorology in 2019. At university, he was an officer member of the WKU AMS/NWA Student Chapters.

Evans works as a meteorologist at KSLA News 12 in Shreveport-Bossier City. Before joining KSLA News in July 2022, he worked as a meteorologist at WEEK-TV in Peoria, Illinois. He served the station for one from May 2021 to April 2022. Prior to working at WEEK-TV, Austin worked for WETM-TV, the NBC affiliate in Elmira, New York where he served as an MMJ and meteorologist. He spent two years working for the station from June 2019 to May 2021.
Previously, Evans served as a weather intern at WBKO in Bowling Green, Kentucky from December 2018 to January 2019. While there, he was in charge of creating footage for professional video reels and assisted with graphic and weather forecasts. He served the station for two years from December 2018 to January 2019. Austin began his career at WAVE 3 News as a weather intern from January 2018 to January 2018. As a weather intern, he developed video footage and assisted in graphics and weather forecasts.
