Brianna Keilar is an Australian-born American political commentator working at CNN. She has been working at the station since joining in 2006.

Keilar went to Mission Viejo High School where she attained her high school diploma. She, later on, joined the University of California, Berkeley where she graduated in Mass Media and Psychology with a dual bachelor’s degree in 2001.

Keilar previously served as a congressional correspondent and was in charge of enclosing the activities of both the Senate and the U.S. She received the National Press Foundation’s Everett McKinley Dirksen Award in 2008 for covering the $700 billion bank bailout. She had previously worked as a general assignment correspondent for CNN and reported on several stories including the 2007 Virginia Tech massacre.
