Bridget Bennett is an American Anchor/Reporter working with KELOLAND News in Sioux Falls where she serves the station as an evening anchor since December 2019. She kick-started her broadcast career working in Sioux Fall in the year 2012 before late moving to Sioux City in 2018 and finally returning to KELOLAND in Sioux Falls.

She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism and advertising from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Since she was a freshman at Ellendale High School, she knew journalism was the perfect fit for her. While there, she used to write stories for the local county newspapers all through high school and got her first taste of broadcast news job shadowing in Fargo, ND.

In her entire career, she has been awarded several Midwest Regional Emmys for producing, reporting, and anchoring. Additionally, she has also received several regional news awards which include Edward R. Murrow, AP News, and Eric Sevareid.
Away from work, she and her family love to get out of the house and explore museums, parks, nature trails, among other fun family activities. Despite the fact that she loved learning from some wonderful journalists in Dallas, she was thrilled to pursue her career in broadcast journalism back home in the upper Midwest.
