Dionne works with WRBC FOX6 News where she serves the station as a Weekend Anchor/Nightside Reporter. She states that there is no place like home and is a proud native of Birmingham, Alabama. Dionne attended E.B. Erwin High School and is a proud graduate of the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
She joined the station working as a reporter/fill-in anchor for First Coast News in Jacksonville, Florida. While she was in the “Sunshine State” she covered the terrorist attack at Pulse nightclub in Orlando. Additionally, she also covered Hurricanes Irma and Michael, and the disappearance of the El Faro container ship where 33 sailors perished after the ship sank upon sailing into the path of Hurricane Joaquin.
While she was in Jacksonville, she was also part of the coverage which earned the news team a prestigious Regional Edward R. Murrow award for Hurricane Matthew coverage. Her contributions also led to several team members winning Emmys for coverage of the Pulse nightclub mass shootings.
Dionne began her journalism career in Columbus, GA at ABC affiliate WTVM News Leader 9. While she was in Columbus, she served as a lead legal reporter and fill-in anchor. Asides from this, she also covered Fort Benning where she spent countless hours documenting life on posts for the nation’s heroes.
