Candy Cáceres is an American anchor working at KGET 17 where she serves as a weekday news and weather anchor. She joined the KGET 17 team in March 2011, after relocating to Los Angeles.

She was brought up in the Dominican Republic till she was 15 years old when she relocated to New Jersey. Candy attended New Jersey City State University and while she was still studying, she interned at Telemundo 47, which is the local New York affiliate where she secured her first job in the news industry. Later in 2002, she relocated to California where she worked at  KRCA Los Angeles as a general assignment reporter covering a wide variety of stories from; homicides, breaking news, human interest, and immigration.

In addition, she is contended with residing in Bakersfield and she has made it her second home. Cáceres is greatly committed to society and she often takes part in a number of events and charities. She is a member National Association of Hispanic Journalists and during her leisure time, she enjoys restoring old furniture, hiking, and spending ample time with her daughter.
