Carmella Mataloni Career
Mataloni is an anchor who joined WNEP as an intern at the station. She grew up in her hometown of Dunmore, Lackawanna County seeing and watching WNEP. While still an intern, she would often help photographers, and reporters at the Jerry Sandusky sex abuse trial in Bellefonte, Centre County.
Mataloni then went on to work in the station Watertown newsroom and joined the team in Bingham in 2013. while here, she enclosed stories including school stories, city, and military stories on Fort Drum. In the January of 2015, she returned to WNEP and served as an assignment desk assistant and a multi-media journalist. Little by little, she began to know her way around and was now able to do a number of other jobs including producing and line producing.
She was also the “Tuesday Taste Tester” for a little more than a year. Not long ago taken the reporting position in the Pocono Newsroom. Mataloni started her career in journalism when she served as a multi-media journalist in Watertown, New York. She was offered Time Warner Cable News (formally Your News Now) morning reporter position in Binghamton, New York. This happened nine months after moving to the North Country.
Mataloni attended Penn State University where she graduated in 2012 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. While in college, she was a member of many student-run organizations including PSN-TV. She has also managed to win several awards and was also nominated for the Emmy Awards. Mataloni enjoys traveling whenever she is not working. Most of her family members are in Italy and love it when she pays them a visit or vice versa.
