Landon Stolar Biography

Landon Stolar is an American Emmy Award-Winning sports anchor/reporter working for WNEP. He joined the station back on 16  July 2015.

Stolar attended the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University where he attained his Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism. He also spent most of his time working for the campus television station, CitrusTV.

Stolar is a sports anchor as well as a reporter who started working for the station as the Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter. The station’s team of reporters started telling stories at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. station as the Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter. He is so proud and excited to be working for the station and couldn’t be happier to be on the east coast. He has also traveled all across the United States due to his career including New York to Montana as well as Iowa.

Stolar has also been telling stories about local athletes in central Pennsylvania and Northeastern and he finds pleasure in doing so. He has also managed to win several awards including Emmy Award and has also been recognized by the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Stolar had previously worked for the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. His career in journalism began at that University as well as contributed to ESPNU’s Campus Connection coverage. He also served as the voice of the Falmouth Commodores, a franchise of the Cape Cod Baseball League from 2008 to 2009.

Stolar had also worked with other stations prior to joining WNEP. For instance, he previously worked for KGAN/KFXA in Cedar Rapids, IA from 2012 to 2015 where he served as the Weekend Sports Anchor and later on, as the Interim Sports Director. He was hired by KTVM in Bozeman, MT, and this was his first full-time job where he worked as the Sports Director from 2010 to 2012.
