Chris Long is a prominent American Sports Anchor working at KSTP. He joined the 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS Sports in March 2010 as the weekend sports anchor. Chris Long Career
He is working at KSTP-TV in St. Paul, Minnesota as the Sports Anchor. He joined the station in March 2010. There, he anchors sportscasts for ABC affiliate in DMA 15 Gathers and assembles story/people-based content for weekday sportscasts, assists with short and long-term planning in the 6-person department, and fills in as needed in producing, editing, and photography roles. Also, is the primary host of live broadcasts of several Minnesota State High School League Championships (football, hockey, and basketball). There, he progresses from sports reporter/photographer to weekend sports anchor to sports director, produced, edited, and anchored sportscasts, managed news-gathering, staff scheduling, budgeting, and general planning for a 6-person department, and produced and hosted a half-hour weekly prep football magazine show. From April 1997 to April 2005, he was a sports anchor at AKDLH-TV, where he was a sports anchor and reporter in a 2-person department and performed producing, reporting, anchoring, and videography duties.
He was also a Sports Talk Radio Host at WDSM-AM – Midwest Communications from 1998 to 2004, where he co-hosted weekly hyper-local sports talk radio program and regular filled-in host amid the station’s primary programs. From 1994 to 1996, he worked at KOMU-TV – Columbia MO as a sports reporter/anchor as the Saturday evening Sports Anchor. Chris was an intern at KGTV-TV – McGraw-Hill – San Diego CA from May 1994 to August 1994. From May 1992 to August 1992, he was an advertising Agency Intern at Pearson Crahan & Fletcher.
