Chris Lovingood is an American Anchor/Reporter working for WRAL-TV in Raleigh, North Carolina where he serves the station as a Weekday Anchor/Reporter. He has been working with the station since August 2021.
Chris Lovingood Career
Lovingood works with WRAL-TV where he serves the station as a Weekday Anchor and Reporter. Prior to this, he was working with WTAE News in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he served the station between June 2018 and July 2021. There, he was serving the station as a Weekend Morning Anchor | Weekday Morning Reporter.
He has also previously worked with WBBH/WZVN in Fort Myers, Florida where he served the station between 2016 and 2018. There, he was serving the station as a General Assignment Reporter | Fill-in Anchor |and Segment Producer. He has also previously worked with WEEK-TV in Peoria, Illinois where he was serving the station as a Multimedia Journalist | Weekend Weather. He worked with the station between May 2014 and June 2016.
Lovingood explains that for him when it comes to news, the public comes first. He also had the chance to go to DC to talk with a former FBI agent about why the man accused in the 2018 Tree of Life Synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh wasn’t labeled “terrorist.” Lovingood has also reported on a story on why women’s clothing lack pockets.

Chris is a proud graduate of Western Illinois University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcast Communications.
Away from work, he enjoys creative writing, reading, playing video games, hiking, and supporting local businesses most especially local artists, music(lo-fi chill hop, EDM, and symphonic), and animals. In terms of movies. he loves superhero movies and has seen MCU films to date twice or thrice. Asides from this, he enjoys mind-bending films such as Inception, anything from Christopher Nolan’s movie and Memento.
