Christine Pae Biography

Christine Pae is an American Multi-Skilled Journalist currently working at KING 5 Media Group as a journalist and reporter. She joined the station in February 2021.

Christine can trace my interest in news reporting back to my college days when she worked for the campus newspaper at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), where she earned a bachelor’s degree in literature and writing. She also spent a year in the Midwest while pursuing a master’s degree in journalism at Northwestern University.

Her career has taken her all over the United States, and she is thrilled to be in Western Washington to tell your stories and report on the issues that are important to you. She could be said to have swapped the sunny desert for the Pacific Northwest. Prior to joining KING 5, she worked in the Southwest for nearly six years, anchoring and reporting at KOAT in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and before that, as a multimedia journalist and breaking news anchor at KOLD in Tucson, Arizona. Her first job as an on-air reporter was at WAFF in Huntsville, Alabama, where she shot and edited video stories and chased a tornado or two.

She is a huge fan of the outdoors and seafood, so she knows I’ll be right at home in Seattle. She also enjoys cooking, gardening, reading, and discovering new places to get a good cappuccino. Her preferred forms of exercise are yoga and hiking, and her favorite sport to watch is baseball.
