Heath serves as an investigative reporter at WFTV mainly enclosing wasteful spending as well as corruption all across central Florida. Prior to working at WFTV, he worked in San Antonio where he won the Associated Press award for his investigation of the growing dangers faced by firefighters. Prior to his tenure in San Antonio, he worked at a station in Waco, Texas, where he served as a reporter and aimed at the military and the government.

Heath went to New Orleans and covered the First Cavalry Division as soldiers recovered and rescued people during the wake of Hurricane Katrina. He, later on, went to Iraq and enclosed combat missions as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom with the Fourth Infantry Division. He stayed in Iraq for two months and enclosed aid missions and followed soldiers on raids.
