CJ Cartledge is an American Meteorologist working for KSLA News 12 serving as a weekend meteorologist. He joined the station in June 2023 where he provides weather events that occur in Shreveport, Louisiana.
CJ Cartledge Career
After completing his high school education, Chaunce went on to join Penn State University in August 2019 where he received a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and Atmospheric Science in 2023. While at College, he worked for the campus weather service and took part in various sports activities like intramural sports. Cartledge was also chosen as a fellow for the Meteorology (NCAS-M) Fellowship and NOAA Center for Atmospheric Sciences program.
Currently, he serves as a weekend meteorologist at KSLA News 12 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He has been with the station for more than nine months since he joined in June 2023. His passion for weather came out at the early age of eight years old when he sat down with his father on the porch during a thunderstorm. From there, he started learning how to determine the storm by hearing thunder and seeing lighting. Later on, he fell in love with live weather forecasts before later learning how to communicate with different weather phenomena.
