Clay Smith is an American meteorologist and reporter working at WRCB where he served as a weekend meteorologist and reporter. He joined the Channel 3 Eyewitness News Storms Alert Team in June 2021.

Smith previously worked at WABG Channel 6 in Greenville, Mississippi where he worked for 2 years as a morning meteorologist. Upstate South Carolina is his native home and over the years, he has covered a number of weather including in 2020, Hurricane Laura came onshore in Louisiana. In 2015, he attended the University of South Alabama where he graduated in 2019, with a bachelor’s degree in meteorology.
He intends to work on his seal of approval from the American Meteorology Society as soon as possible. In addition, he is happy to connect with the local residents of the Tennessee Valley. During his leisure time, he enjoys outdoor activities including braves baseball and spending time with his fiancée Jordan.
